Introduction Clinical Diagnosis Bacteriology General Early-onset Late-community Late-nosocomial Management References Other Lectures		The pattern of bacteria causing neonatal sepsis has changed over time, as demonstrated by the Yale-New Haven data covering 60 years. The bacteriology of neonatal sepsis varies significantly with the mode of presentation. Three clinical scenarios will be presented, each with its own features and bacterial spectrum. early-onset sepsis (first 2-4 days) OR maternal chorioamnionitis late-onset sepsis (> 7-10 days), community-acquired (baby at home) late-onset sepsis, nosocomial infection (baby in NI/PI/SCN)
